Name and voice
Write Twinhoods: one word, capital T in running text. The logotype is lower case, twinhoods, with “twin” heavier. The slogan is “Translate any city into yours.”
Twinhoods translates: a city is translated into another city, the way a book is translated into a language.
- WriteTwinhoods
- NotTwinHoods, Twin Hoods, twinhoods.com as the name

The mark
Two map pins, tilted towards each other until their tips meet and form a heart. The left pin is darker, the right lighter, and both pin holes always show. It stands for the idea: two places, one feeling.
Clear space
Keep at least x free on every side, where x is the diameter of one pin head. Nothing else goes inside the dashed line.
Minimum size
The horizontal logo: 120 px wide. The mark with its holes: 24 px tall. Smaller than that, use the favicon (down to 16 px).
Don’t
-
No solid heartThe pin holes always show.
-
No pale halvesNot two light tones on a colour; use the single-colour logo in white.
-
Don’t rotate or stretchThe tips meet straight down.
-
Don’t recolour or redrawOnly the two pink pairs below, from the files.
Single colour
When the logo can only have one colour (one-colour print, a stamp, engraving, a photo or a coloured ground), both pins and the word take the same ink and the holes stay cut out. The pins meet on a straight edge, so in one ink both are drawn a hair inside their outline: a thin line between them, the same on both sides. Black on light grounds and in print; white on photos, dark grounds and colours, the brand pink included. Whenever two colours are possible, use the two-tone logo.
Profile picture
For social accounts, a full square with no rounded corners: LinkedIn, X, Instagram and the rest crop to a circle or round the corners themselves, and the app icon’s own corners would show inside their frame. Two sizes on Night: circle for sites that crop to a circle, with clear space inside the crop, and square, as big as the app icon’s mark, for square or rounded-square frames such as a LinkedIn company page or GitHub. Use the Paper versions only where the page around them is light. Upload the 1024 px PNG.

Wordmark
Set in Gabarito: “twin” at weight 800, “hoods” at 500, letter-spacing −0.035em, all lower case. In the horizontal logo the mark sits to the left, a little taller than the type size, with a gap of a little under half the type size; in the vertical logo it sits centred above the name. Use the logo files rather than typing it: their letters are outlined, so they need no font.
Colour
Neon pink is the brand and the interface accent. The site has two themes, Night and Paper; each colour has a value for each. Pink is the only brand colour; there is no brand red. Click a swatch to copy its hex.
Night (dark)
Paper (light)
The favicon and app icon use the Night pins (#e8326f and #ff9cc2) on a Night (#04060c) rounded square.
State colours
Green, yellow and red mark a state, never the brand or decoration. They colour text, icons, dots and outlines, not filled buttons: a filled button is always pink. The red leans orange so it never reads as the brand pink.

Type
Translate any city into yours.
Every neighbourhood gets the name of its closest match in the city you know.
Amsterdam · Rome
BER · LON · 52.52° N 13.40° E
Sizes are whole pixels, from 9 to 40 px; titles start at 20. The one half pixel is 10.5 px, for small caps labels in JetBrains Mono. Pick a size from the scale rather than adding one.
All four are open-source (SIL Open Font License) and free to download from Google Fonts.
How cities are shown
Split-flap tiles are kept for the moment a city is picked or changes. Everywhere else a city’s name is plain type, in the voice of where it sits.
| Where | How |
|---|---|
| The start board, the route header, the clock | ROM Split-flap tiles in Barlow Condensed, the city’s code in pink |
| Passes, arrival cards, the race board | St. Louis Barlow Condensed capitals, no tiles |
| Twin names on the map, the ticket’s sentence | Brixton Gabarito 800 in the neighbourhood’s family colour |
| Lists and running text | Inter, the twin in its family colour |
| Codes beside a name | LON · BER JetBrains Mono in pink |
The boarding pass
The pass is how Twinhoods says “this is yours, and it counted”: a vote, a win, a pledge. It is the one confirmation card. A new moment like that reuses it; it never gets a new card.

- Header says what the pass is (Your vote, Arrivals), never the city. JetBrains Mono 10.5 px capitals in pink.
- Name in Barlow Condensed 600 capitals, 34 px on a phone and 40 on a computer, a step smaller at a time for long names; two lines when that’s clearly bigger. Never flap tiles.
- Country, once, in small mono capitals. None for a city that is its own country.
- Tear line: a dashed rule over the fields.
- Fields: always three equal columns, a mono label over a condensed value. The leader’s place and lead in pink.
- Mark: the pass’s only logo, on the header’s line in the stub.
- QR code of the city’s link on twinhoods.com, dark on a light tile in both themes, from the name’s cap height down to the tear line.
- City code: CITY over the airport or metro code (GOT, LON, ASR for Kayseri), or one made from the name.
- Stamp: the ink stamp, tilted −8°, left of the stub. Counted, Won, Arrived or Boarded.

The pledge pass (Boarding pass, stamped Boarded) is older: its name is still on flap tiles. It moves onto this form when that flow is next touched.
Fields
| Vote pass | Votes | Place | Third field |
|---|---|---|---|
| No votes yet | 0 | – | Behind n, or To lead 1 |
| Leading | n | 1st | Ahead gap (alone: all its votes) |
| Tied for the lead | n | 1st | Gap Tied |
| Behind | n | 2nd… | Behind gap |
A winner’s pass: Votes and Won (the day). A pass shows only counts and never names a rival.
Card
16 px corners, a 1 px line, a soft top-to-bottom gradient. A 9 px bite out of each end of the stub’s dashed tear line. About 2.35 : 1 on a phone, 2.6 : 1 on a computer.
Motion
It prints in from the top (0.7 s), the stamp lands at 1.4 s and the card gives a little under it. With reduced motion it’s simply there.
Share image
The same pass on the Night ground at 1200 × 630, with one line under it: “Vote at twinhoods.com/kayseri”. It follows the app, never the other way round.
Don’t
Add flap tiles, a second logo, a barcode or more stub fields; recolour the QR code; draw the stamp flat; drop the bites or the tear line.
Map colours
On the map, each neighbourhood is coloured by its family: the kind of place it most stands out as within its own city. These colours belong to the map only, never to the logo.
